THE FT. HOOD MASSACRE: WHO’S TO BLAME?
The religion of peace strikes again.
Of course, that’s a bigoted and prejudiced remark. To that I plead: Guilty.
Part of the blame for the killing rampage that took place at Fort Hood belongs with the U.S. Army itself, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security. Why? Because red flags galore existed which would alarm any citizen with half a brain, that this man not only didn’t belong in our armed service, he was a dangerous time bomb ticking away while his co-workers and leaders snoozed.
Had he been a KKK member who had made derogatory remarks about blacks, the Army would have thrown him out in a heartbeat. But our politically correct policies and “sensitivity” to Islamics have rendered us clear targets for radicals posing as moderates. That’s just the way they want it. And, of all places, amid the very Army that is sworn to protect our nation from people like Nadil Malik Hasan, a respected medical doctor, a counselor for the mentally disturbed, educated moderate Muslim, nice gentleman, and incidentally, mass murderer.
Soldiers who witnessed the shooting rampage have reported that Hasan shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is great) before opening fire. That’s the familiar death scream mouthed by Islamic radicals the moment they embark on another exercise in killing innocent people en masse. He also handed out a few copies of the Holy Koran before the shooting.
People will say his religion had nothing to do with it. To those folks who live in La La Land, may I suggest: Open your eyes, it’s all around us, the evidence is overwhelming. Information is out there in scores of in-depth books and articles by scholars, historians and experts that undeniably reveal radical Islam as not only a fundamentalist religion, it is a powerful, immovable ideology that has been hell-bent on world domination for 1400 years, a form of government with its own set of laws: Shariah, that indoctrinates babies from birth and teaches bigotry and hate.
With radical Islam, there is a blurred line between religion and government, and we should not lose sight of that. Nazism was an ideology, so is fascism, so is hard-core communism, so is radical Islam. So, let’s erase the religion aspects from our heads and get real. We are at war, not with a nation with borders, but with an ideology than spans many nations, including our own.
Early on, much like the 9/11 terrorists, the government had information that Mr. Hasan might be a nut case. In deference to “correctness,” nothing was done. How many more are out there?
Consider three facts: First, he was Muslim, born of Palestinian parents. Like it or not, that should be worthy of a close watch within our own military. Sorry. That’s a truism.
Second, after our U.S. tax dollars put him through graduate and post graduate medical school, he whined about having to serve his time in the Army, and had told a number of people he didn’t believe the Iraq war was justified and excoriated the nation that he was serving. His message clearly raised a red flag about his degree of loyalty.
Third, six months before the shootings, the Army and law enforcement investigated this man because he had authored web postings that were of the mind of a radical.
Regarding suicide bombers, he wrote: “To say that this soldier committed suicide is inappropriate. It’s more inappropriate to say he is a brave hero that sacrificed his life for a more noble cause. Scholars have paralleled this to suicide bombers whose intention, by sacrificing their lives, is to help save Muslims by killing enemy soldiers.”
What was this guy still doing in the Army? Besides, they were about to deploy him to Iraq, where his job was to counsel and treat soldiers with mental problems? Are we that hard up for psychiatrists?
If folks would dare to delve, they’d learn that radical Muslims often pose as, and can easily be mistaken as “moderates” because that’s part of the strategy written in the war plan of the Muslim Brotherhood, the largest and most powerful extremist organization in the world, with strong ties to CAIR, and other subversive Muslim groups in the U.S. Written in their manifesto:
“The process of settlement (of Islam in the United States) is a “Civilization- Jihadist” process. The Ikhwan (brothers) must understand that all their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging their miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all religions.”
Is that not a declaration of war? And they have the resources to carry it out. Part of the strategy is to infiltrate the infrastructure of our country, including schools, prisons, law enforcement, military and the government itself. I’m not making it up, it’s all documented. And we’re letting it happen, we Americans who are in dangerous denial, we Americans with our proverbial heads in the sand.
The 9/11 terrorists all posed as moderates in America prior to the attack.
Some of the train bombers in the London attacks of 2005, were highly educated men, some doctors, who lived as Muslim “moderates.”
The on-going problem of honor killings by fathers and husbands all over the world, numbering in the multi-thousands, including many in the U.S., were committed by Islamists who we might otherwise consider “moderates.”
The grizzly beheading of a woman this year near Buffalo, New York, was committed by a well-respected Muslim who actually founded a television station to promote moderate Muslim awareness. The woman dishonored him by wanting a divorce. (Ironically, his name was Hassan)
In 2003, who would have known that Army Sergeant Asan K. Akbar was a radical until the day he threw a grenade into a tent occupied by his comrades in uniform, killing two and wounding seventeen others.
The multi-thousands of terror attacks around the world, killing innocents by the millions — many Muslims included — have one common denominator: Islam.
It’s ideal to think that the military does not, and should not, discriminate against enlistees based on religion. But it’s also idiocy. Why? For the reasons stated above, regarding “moderates” and “ideology.” Remember, it is not just a religion.
Two years ago, I was giving a library lecture about my book on Militant Islam, when a young American man, who works at a local furniture store, raised his hand. He said he was a Muslim convert, and accused me of lying. I asked him one question: “Sir, do you ever pledge allegiance to the American Flag?”
His reply. “No, never. My only allegiance is to my God.” Nuff said.
It’s time for the armed forces to begin stricter screening of service members who identify as Muslims. Not nice, maybe, but I’m sure it would put the rest of our service personnel at ease.
If anything good could come of this, it may help to end the era of political correctness. If not, it may begin the era of political suicide.

Once again our point is reaffirmed: Either we destroy those animals or they will destroy us.
In the meantime, we open our doors, our universities, our teaching and learning centers so they can come and experience the American way of life..Only to have them in return, shatter it with terrorists attacks.
If Islam is the religion of Peace, then, I would rather practice the one of war. At least there would be no double standards.

I am sick to death of political correctness being foisted on us by an elitist government who won’t even follow the Constitution. Close the damned borders already, send the illegals and terrorists back where they came from, and stop gving aid and comfort (and money) to terrorist organizations. Unless, and until we do that, we will continue to be slaughtered by “peace loving” Muslims. It’s bred into them. PC won’t change that.
I agree with you. I have read of the problems they cause in European countries and how they are spreading all over the world. Our government needs to start protecting the rights of us Americans and stop bowing to the illegals and other foreigners.

How do we get our leaders to Wake Up, I don’t know. Maybe the groundswell that is starting regarding voting out everyone that is in, and having all new congress by the 2012 election isn’t such a bad idea.

We have got to get our heads out of the sand and start taking action against these terrorists or we are doomed. I am fast becoming a person I would not have believed I was capable of being a few years ago. That person is a person of utter disgust and desire for retalliation against those who would defile our country.
I recently wrote to a friend that the old testament asked “an eye for an eye”, the new testament suggests “turning the other cheek”. I am leaning toward the former rather than the latter.
WE have had instances in this country that we have deported people of another country due to their radical beliefs and their known affiliation with those who would do harm to our people.I firmly believe the time has come to do that once again. Let’s start by sending the senate and congress along with Obama, Pelosi and Reid to live with those folks they want to give our country to in return for a few votes.

While you toiled in law enforcement in Miami I was one of two medical directors for the Miami Fire Dept., and the first paramedic system operating in the US. Your voice and those of other conservatives are being drowned out by the media which is overwhelmingly liberal (or should I say, Left Wing?). That’s not to say give up or keep quiet. Let’s hope that sanity and reason prevail although it isn’t for sure at the present time that we haven’t gone over the cliff.

Not only are your comments good, so are you readers. I just don’t know where things are going and for once being old isn’t so bad. I will never understand killing in the name of God no matter what century it happened in or what God they prayed to. I guess I don’t really want to understand either, it’s too sad. As for Washington, I can only hope, like others, that we vote them all out…but we must always be careful what we wish for…look what some folks got this time.

Marshall, right to the point and right on. If a major change does not occur in the very near future this one time great country will be down and out. You mention points which make me compare things to this 8 year war. We spend billions of dollars for hi-tech equipment for defense and most of it sits in hangers and runways. We are afraid to use our “stuff” because we will injury civilians, the same civilians that are harboring radicals ready to do us all harm.

Marshall, the solution to the “extremist” problem is for Americans to quit funding terrorists. During WWII, my Dad placed his car on jacks, hung the wheels on the wall and the battery on a shelf, travelling to work on a bicycle powered by a Maytag washing machine motor. Probably 20% of what we send to the Middle East for oil winds up making bombs, human and otherwise, aimed at ourselves. Saudi funds are behind most of the Mosques, schools and, indirectly, “sleeper cells” in the West.
Our best defense is to return the Middle East economy to figs, dates, hashish and camel saddles–no terrorism there!
It is time that the general population comes to grips with the fact that America is really and actually at war with these people of the Islamic following. The thing that must be done in war is seek-out and kill the enemy. Enough said?

I think we will have to have some more shock value as this is not enough, and for some it will never matter. I remember the anger on Hillary Clinton’s face when she listened to Bush say that any country that harbors terrorist that hurt us will be on our list of enemy’s. All the liberals were mad about him taking an aggressive stance, instead of being mad at the terrorist who flew into the WTC. I just don’t think they will ever get it unless their child is killed in an explosion or gunned down in the street. I expect the Islamic movement to begin teaching more and more in schools and driving a wedge into traditional Christianity, and I expect a bomb to go off in schools. We have the dumbest, most liberal school boards in the country (especially in Florida) that don’t think they have to answer to anyone(just like in Washington) and we take it because we don’t know how to fight it. Where do they come from? It’s going to take a lot more dead Americans before we get mad enough I’m afraid. The dreaded American fear of being called a racist or profiler or not politically correct is a greater fear than the thought of the scumbags actually killing us. We cannot imagine that they really do want to kill us. What’s it take before Larry King spends time talking about the victim instead of basing his show on worrying about whether the rest of the soldiers will be pissed off at fellow Islamic soldiers.

I have no doubt you are correct and will be proven so in a short time. This one is too big to die. Due to the numbers and the people involved in this incident it has received wide publicity and our lame Congress started talking about hearings the next day.
But several other murders and violence have been done in the same manner that received only brief and localized attention. I believe the “big” media is sometimes ignorantly and sometimes complicit in keeping this a PC matter.

As you have stated in the past, Islam will defeat this country from within if we do nothing but sit and watch it happen. I do not hold to the concept of a moderate muslim. If they believe in what the koran teaches they are to either convert or kill infidels. The military command shares in the responsibility for what happened at Ft. Hood.
Hate is not a family value. It comes as a shock to read the comments on your article to see how few take exception to the promotion of Hate. I am absolutely sure that Frank and the commentators would reject despise and be horrified to think that their comments are similar and comparable to the rantings in Mein Kampf.

The mainstream media seems to portray this as a result of our misguided foreign policy and it is not totally his foult. The army not only kept him on but promoted him. Marshall, I mostly agree with you. The disagreement comes (as with my dear Steve Gure) when you name “Radical Islam” (and Steve describes the Fort Hood event as “either terrorist act or an act of a mentally deranged individual”). Both these statements are just politically correct: There is just an Islam and it IS always radical; there is no doubt it was a terrorist act and the individual who committed it was “mentally deranged” just to the extent to all Muslims being “mentally deranged”.
Here is a short story about an expensive, influential NY high school where the kids of the rich Muslims study Qoran and the Arabic language. After 9/11 a questionnaire was distributed among them asking for the reaction on the 19 Saudi Arabs’ action.
75% of the students’ answers totally supported the terrorists.
Of course, the principal was quite disappointed and lectured his students on the more appropriate answer. Then, the second questionnaire was distributed with the same question.
This time only… 30% totally supported the suicides!!! 30% of the young Arabs wanted to waste their lives just to destroy their adapted country!
The main question is: If genes, mother’s milk, home indoctrination are more influential than the even most expensive education, why the US government keeps its borders wide open to the potential enemies of the US (even if they were born in the US)? Yury.

Marshall, I believe that you are right in this case, that the Army and others who are part of our defense system are partly responsible for this massacre. The man’s behavior was suspect for some time. But I do not believe that an entire population should be suspect for what some individuals do. I agree with Herbert H. that Jews have too long had to put up with this very attitude for too long. And, as a liberal human being in my thinking, I resent the negative attitude against “The Liberals”, as if everyone who is not a born-again Chrstian is a criminal! For the person who said that the Muslims have been around since the 700’s, and have been this way ever since, I guess he forgot to read the part of history that would have told him that in the 700’s it was the “universal” growing Catholic religion that held sway then, and everyone, including Muslims, who did not want to become Catholic was beheaded or otherwise disposed of. Fortunately, the centuries brought changes, and the Catholic attitude eventually softened to what it is today.
But criminal behavior is to be punished no matter what the individual’s religion, no matter what accusations are made because “one of theirs” is punished. We must not continue to be “nicey-nicey” so as not to offend the Muslims! Catholics, Baptists or any other denomination who break the law, are punished, and we don’t apologize to all the others when we send “one of theirs” to prison!

I am now 62 years old. I have lived through 3 assinations,3 wars,9-11,I have been a Democrat almost my whole life, except for Ronald Reagan who was JUST what this country needed ! I’m ashamed to say I voted for this man. I have NEVER in my life been so scared OF my government and for MY government ! Whether it is Muslims in the Army or bad officers in police departments, history teaches us over and over again that when the standards are compromised for selecting people for positions of trust, everyone suffers.
