What a world we live in.
Can you imagine a clothing style where women … especially fat women…wear low rise pants and skirts so their guts can hang over for all to admire?
Can you imagine a dress style in America where young men walk around with their pants hanging under the cheeks of their ass, so their underwear is completely exposed? And parents say it’s okay?
Can you imagine youngsters on a dance floor doing nothing other than dry sex with clothes on? Welcome to 2009, folks.
Can you imagine admiring performers like Frankie Avalon, Frank Sinatra or Ray Charles singing lyrics about raping women, killing cops and using drugs…and our kids make them rich by buying millions of their records? Welcome to gangsta rap. And these guys win Grammy awards. Well…after all, Elvis wiggled his pelvis, right?
Can you imagine school officials strip searching a 13 year-old girl, because she was caught with an Advil? Or suspending a 9 year-old for giving a Cert mint to a friend? Again, welcome to 2009. It just happened in Manassas, Va.
Can you imagine arresting a 19 year-old for having consensual sex with a 17 year-old girl, then sentencing him to prison for ten years? Genarlow Wilson. Google him.
Can you imagine a college senior with no criminal record, being sentenced to life in prison with no parole, for introducing a cocaine buyer to a seller? Google Clarence Aaron.
Can you imagine, a world where murderous pirates ravage the high seas for years on end, by the thousands, kidnaping hostages like snatching stray puppies, killing people, firing on innocents every day aboard vessels, and when they are captured…guess what? They are released… to do it again? Har har har. The laughs on us.
Can you imagine the reactions from Thomas Jefferson, or even Harry Truman, when we tell them our Homeland Security Secretary says immigrating illegally into the U.S. is not a crime?
Napolitano: “…when we find illegal workers … some of which is criminal, most of that is civil, because crossing the border is not a crime per se.”
Can you even imagine what the founding fathers would think if they were told we have allowed almost 20 million aliens into our country illegally and our taxpayers will foot the bill for their health and housing costs.
Can you imagine capturing enemy combatants who have sworn to kill as many of us as they can, and then releasing them back to their army to kill again…while the war still wages? Are you shaking your heads?
Can you imagine someone like Adolf Hitler being called to speak at an international summit on human rights, racism and tolerance? Of course not.
But can you imagine, Ahmadinejad, the Jew-hating, gay-hating, nuke threat from Iran who swears to annihilate Israel, being invited to speak at an international summit on racism and tolerance? Of course not. Wait. Imagine it again because it just happened in Geneva, where representatives of the European Union and other delegations walked out.
Can you imagine a leader of a major country claiming the Holocaust never happened, and people still listen to him… and applaud?
Can you imagine Dwight Eisenhower bowing waste level to anyone, yet to Nikita Khrushchev, even though he knew that the Soviet Union had designs on conquering the west? Of course not.
Can you imagine a president bowing to a Wahhabist Saudi King, who spends kazillions investing in the west for the ultimate purpose of controlling America and Europe? A Saudi king who presides over a nation that considers women chattel, who rewards suicide bombers for killing Jews, whose Islamic teachings are about hate and subjugation of women, who practice and condone honor killings and beheadings. Bowing? Our president? Of course not. But..wait…it just happened.
Can you imagine a U.S. president declaring that our country is going to cut back a missile defense system, while countries like North Korea and Iran are testing long range missiles, ostensibly for the purpose of carrying nuclear bombs that will destroy innocent people in our country, or our ally nations? That’s like dropping your gun belt while you’re in a duel to the death.
Can you imagine someone who failed to pay $34 thousand in back taxes for four years, being confirmed as the Secretary of the Treasury?
Can you imagine a member of parliament from the Netherlands being subject to criminal charges because he loves his country and speaks out against a rising threat the very existence of its culture? Can you imagine free speech relegated to the Dempsey Dumpster? Can you imagine that same Dutch diplomat being refused a visa to the UK to give a talk, because they were afraid of what Muslims would think?
Can you imagine capitulating to a country (Saudi Arabia) that demands religious tolerance in America, but imprisons anyone in their country who so much as carries a bible in their possession?
Can you imagine living in a European country (France) where a particular culture routinely goes about intimidating, terrifying and rioting everywhere, and then that country arrests an international celebrity for complaining about it… five times! Google: Brigitte Bardot.
Can you imagine an American government that sends troops 12,000 miles overseas to confront radical Islamic terrorists, yet pays no attention to thirty-five (or more) such radical enclaves right here, nestled in the confines of our own United States.
Can you imagine an America where the world of communists and radical Islamists are supporting and revelling in the new leadership of our country, and we don’t think it’s a problem for our grandchildren?
Can you imagine winning the gun war, but losing the propaganda war…and then, the tactical war of infiltration?
I can.
Can you imagine…in the wake of WWII and the holocaust … disregarding a document penned by a major international organization which spells out the war plan for conquering the west? We have done just that. “The Project” is no different than Mein Kampf…yet, we ignore.

Can you imagine Americans naive enough to let it happen all over again, only this time it is us who apologizes to the rest of the world for being us. And we think that’s going to appease?
Can you imagine telling the world that we are not at war with Islam, when Islam — or a major radical sect within — has made it clear they are at war with us? Very, very clear.
Can you imagine fighting the Japanese and Nazi Germany, then claiming we are not at war with them, but we’re just fighting bombs and airplanes? How is that different than saying we are at war against terror?
Can you imagine kissing the butts of those who would annihilate us…and we know that. But we do it anyway?
What a world. I’ll take 1940, 1960 or 1980 anytime. At least we had pride.

Great collection of news, and I have a question.
Current Israeli laws bar non-Jewish citizens of Israel (mostly Muslim and Christian and a few others) from owning property or voting in their national elections.
My question is: Would you support a bill in our congress barring Jew, Muslim, Hindu and other monorities from voting in our elections and from owning their own homes?
I can imagine a major media of whom 80% of it’s members obfuscate, support or belittle the above points.

This is what happens when we take God out of our schools, remove rules, give kids control over parents, give “rights” to those who haven’t earned them, and elect idiots to Congress. When we stopped obeying the Constitution and the Ten Commandments, society ran amok. Let’s get back t basic, folks. It worked.

Great job Marshall. Mike Ogrady started on the right path but as usual got sidetracked. Israeli laws bar ‘non’citizens’ of Israel from voting in national elections. Great law by the way. Too bad he revised the law to read “mostly Muslim, Christian and a few others”, it’s non-citizens Mike. When he inquires about supporting bills that limits voting and home ownership he completely got away from the ‘non-citizen’ issue and jumped completely on the ‘minority’ band wagon (read his last sentence). I would certainly support a bill that prohibited non-citizens from voting, period, and with restrictions on real estate ownership regardless of race, nationality, religion, etc. Also they should not have a driver’s license issued in this country by way of a driver’s exam given in their native language.
One last thought, George Bush was incompetent and as such made some bad decisions that affected this nation and the world. He was not effective as a public speaker and it was usually embarrassing to listen to him speak when representing this country. Many of us understood that he was what he was and so we tolerated him. Obama, on the other hand, is an effective speaker, he’s intelligent and can actually think on his feet. This combination is scary when it appears that he has made some critical decisions knowing full well the long term negative impact that will be felt by this nation. I have to wonder if this is a long term plan to accelerate the eventual Islamic take over of this country.

Bill Solen needs to read Mike Ogrady’s reply again…..carefully. He said non-Jewish CITIZENS of Israel that are mostly Muslim, Christian, etc.
Inflammatory rhetoric is just more of the same stuff that beats a path to a nuclear war and the end of life as we know it. Is this what we want for our children and grandchildren? In the past, there were quite a few brilliant thinkers, including Jesus Christ himself, that preached peace and tolerance. There are still some brilliant thinkers in the world who are desperately looking for peaceful solutions. They know for a fact what will happen if we don’t stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons, including our own. We have a stockpile of 10,000 or more nukes. What are we doing with them if we are telling other countries they can’t have them. Are we the example of Democracy and Freedom that the world should emulate? Could it be that this philosophy is a bit too arrogant and hypocritical? Could it be that we went too far in our rush to a pre-emptive war that made us unsafe and paranoid?
We need an ACT OF COMPASSION AND KINDNESS for every human on the face of the planet to sign. But you poor guys who love your wars and your crusades don’t even try to understand this concept. There was a movie “On the Beach”, whose message was “IT’S NOT TOO LATE, BROTHERS!” There is also a book called “The Road”, by Cormac McCarthy, that you angry fellows should read. You must know that we have other critical issues facing us where we need the full cooperation of the rest of the world. Thank God President Obama HAS been paying attention. He is no embarrassment to me…..not when the rest of the world sees him as a voice of intelligent reasoning. What IS embarrassing and frustrating is the extent of the hatred, ignorance, close-mindedness, self-interest, bigotry, greed, and revenge that will only end up hurting those that communicate it. We should all attempt to examine more of the real facts, and not just those ideas that we have formulated from our own and other’s limited and sometimes prejudiced experiences.
Lesley: Since when does the Constitution have anything to do with the Ten Commandments? The Constitution clearly states separation of church & state. Our forefathers drafted it explicity for that reason….and others.

Poor disillusioned Pamela. If you could get past your bleeding heart liberalism you would see that Lesley talked about two separate things, the Constitution and the Ten Commandments. They were not mentioned as one idea, but two different sets of rules that most of this country abide by. Separation of church and state is good but when we bow to and cater to Islam because it is politcally correct to do so, we give aid and comfort to our avowed enemies who are out to destoy this country and it’s ideals. Like them or not, they have served us well for many years.
I can unequivocally state that we are in worst shape now than we were 20 or 30 years ago, because of the denial of the Ten Commandments.
I don’t know what the rest of the world thinks, but they are laughing at us and loving it when Obama grovels at the feet of dictators and despots. This brings us down to their level where socialsim reigns.

It really is amazing that In God We Trust is all over our currency, public buildings and that congress starts all sessions with a prayer, sounds like the founders believed in something when they drafted the Constitution, separate of religion or not.

But what makes you think we are bowing and catering to Islam? And why do you say that giving aid and comfort to Islamic people who’s country we destroyed, is giving aid to our avowed enemies? Were they our avowed enemies before our pre-emptive attack? The reason for us being there was to protect these very people from their terrible dictator…..and now you call them our “avowed enemies”. I believe the majority of Americans, except for the very hard-core right-wingers, believe that we made a huge mistake, resulting in making us less “safe”, and cost us our reputation and the economy worldwide. What Bush did, did NOT have to be done. Do you think he was considering the Commandment “thou shalt not kill” when he ordered the bombing of Iraq? If you lived as a Moslem in Iraq who’s children were killed by our weapons, you might have a different take on it. If you haven’t had all of the feeling stamped out of you by the ratcheting up of political propaganda, then how can you not wish for a world where EVERYONE has a chance at peace and safety. You are so wrong about the world laughing at us now…that was before, when Bush and his entourage were doing their damage to us. World opinion about America has changed since President Obama was elected. But it might be happier for you to be in a state of denial about that as the reality of what our recent history portrays is hard to come to terms with. Why do you say Bush kept us safe, when we were attacked on HIS “watch”. Do you think he was watching carefully when he ignored the reports that terrorists were planning an attack on the United States by using our commercial airliners as bombs?
You know, Frank, neither of us is in a position to know the whole truth…..but there is one truth to be aware of. If you think that we would be protected by arrogant, aggressive tactics, “whether the rest of the world likes us or not”, you are wrong. If you think you can live in a world where your country can stand alone and not have to answer for it’s actions, you are wrong. If you think your country will be exempt from the radiation fall-out of a nuclear war, resulting from the lack of understanding, communication, and diplomatic solutions, you are wrong. Our founding fathers never said we should accept our countries actions “right or wrong”. They stated that dissent in favor of a just cause is patriotic. I love my country and want it to be in the hands of people who understand this. I also have empathy for those people who suffer….the majority of the rest of the world. You can gather up all the weapons in the Universe to protect yourself…..but the truth is this…there is no security that will protect you forever. The best protection is to try to help your fellow man instead of yourself.
In my last two posts, we discussed that Islam and Muslims believe in the same prophets and ideologies as the Christians and Jews. Also we looked at the other half of the story, i.e. the story of Abraham’s eldest son. Most Jews are taught Judaism and know little about Christianity or Islam. Most Christians are taught Christianity, and know about Judaism, but know little or nothing about Islam. Muslims, however, are brought up with considerable knowledge of Judaism and Christianity because these two religions are part and parcel of their faith.
This knowledge gap on our part, combined with disinformation by individuals, media, clergy, etc. has led to a distorted image of Muslims and Islam. In this section it would help us all to look at some facts and see what contemporary Islam is, and who Muslims really are. I will back every statement with facts and references for those who may want to know.
Of the 3 Abrahamic faiths, today Christianity stands at 1.7 billion, Islam at 1.5 billion, and Judaism at 12 million. Due to the current territorial conflicts going on between Israel and Palestine, and with the Mid East constantly in the news, most Americans associate Islam and Muslims with the Arabs. This is far from the truth.
If we add the populations of all the Mid East Muslim countries – Saudi Arabia 25 million, Egypt 76 million, Yemen 23 million, Syria 22 million, Bahrain 1 million, Iraq 31 million, Jordan 6 million, Kuwait 3 million, Lebanon 4 million, Oman 3 million, Palestine 4 million, Qatar 1.5 million, UAE 4.5 million, we see that these countries account for only about 200 million of the 1.5 billion total, a mere 14%. So where are the remaining 86%?
Islam exists in every country on earth today. Lets look at the top 3 or 4 Muslim countries. Indonesia is the largest at 300 million, Bangladesh the second largest at 180 million, Pakistan at 170 million, India, although not a Muslim country stands at 180 million Muslims. Turkey, Iraq, Iran and so on, and on. So if 86% of Muslims are not ethnically Arabs, it is incorrect to think of Muslims as Arabs only. They come in all flavors, just like Christians or Jews. And the vast majority of them have nothing to do with the territorial conflict between Israel and Palestine, which is really a conflict about land and not religions.
Another widely held misperception is that Muslims are cruel to women. Lets look at this in a little more detail. Before starting his prophet career, Mohammad was under the employ of a woman, who later married him. That served as an early example to Muslims that women can be effective leaders and there is no shame for a man to work under a woman. It may surprise you to know that, Islam was the first of the 3 Abrahamic religions that introduced woman rights. The Koran ordains that women can own property (previously they were property themselves), a woman can inherit property (previously only male children could inherit) and bequeath property to her heirs, and a woman can initiate divorce. These are only a few of the rights that were granted to women, a revolutionary concept in male dominated societies of that time.
Indonesia, the largest Muslim country has had a woman Prime Minister named Sukarno Purti, daughter of their founding father Sukarno; Bangladesh the second largest has had several women Prime Ministers and the current one (just elected) is also a woman; Pakistan the third largest, has had a woman Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto who, you may remember, was recently assassinated by Al Qaeda, while seeking another term. For a woman to rise to the highest office of any country, it is obvious that there must be countless others in government and private positions of authority. This is actually the case. Woman participation in civic matters is much higher that we think or are led to believe. There are exceptions however. Some countries have developed along male dominated paths. That is not Islam though, that has to do more with local culture. A prime example is Saudi Arabia that accounts for only 2% of all Muslims. The Taliban and Al Qaeda groups which number in a few thousands are extreme examples of this, but their numbers are so small compared to the 1.5 billion, that again this is more an anomaly instead of the norm. So let’s stop saying that all Muslims try to dominate women or somehow Islam requires them to do so. It is like looking at the small minority of Puritan Christians and saying that all Christians like to burn women, or looking at the Mormon Christians and saying that all Christians are polygamists, somehow Christianity teaches the practice of polygamy. Recent case of guy called Jeffs, a Mormon prophet was about sleeping with under age girls. It would be stupid to say that since Mormons are Christians, that all Christians practice sex with under age girls.
Another misconception is that Muslims are not democratic. Again if we look at the minority of the Mid East one can easily arrive at this erroneous conclusion. But that is not a smart person’s way of looking at things. Lets look at the majority. Indonesia, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Turkey, Iran, and countless others are democratic. Sure not all of their political systems have developed as far as our own, but they are democratic to a one degree or another. The exceptions again are Middle East Muslim countries. We, and the USSR, during the Cold War had followed a policy of toppling democratic governments as part of the MAD doctrine and had replaced them with dictatorships sympathetic to our respective ideologies. After that we continued to support, and still do, these dictators for our cheap source of oil. Is it that Muslims or Islam does not favor democracy, or is it that we force and then support dictatorship upon them for our selfish interests.
When Mohammad was on his deathbed, his followers became concerned about the matter of succession. The elders asked him to nominate a successor but he refused and instead asked them to select the one from among them whom they considered the most capable. The elders held a conference and voted on the next leader Abu Bakr, a companion of Mohammed. That was in 600 AD or so when all succession was hereditary, and this democratic way was a revolutionary concept in those times. This is another myth that we should discard.
One other commonly heard comment we hear often is why the moderate Muslims, that vastly outnumber the fanatics, don’t speak up. They do, but the reason why we don’t hear of them is because Islam prohibits any central authority. The concept is that each individual is responsible for his own actions and answerable only to god. No clergy is allowed or exists in Islam. There is no Pope, there is no such thing as head of the religion. This was due to the events that occurred in Judaism and Christianity. We all know what the priests of Jerusalem did to Jesus and we all know what some evil Popes where doing that lead to the breakaway Protestant movement. Islam decided that man is better off without clergy. Giving a human so much power over ones mind can only help corrupt the human and lead to the excesses we all know off. So there is no one who can speak for the masses. An exception is the Shia denomination that accounts for about 15% of Muslims and has a sort of clergy.
Islam preaches terrorism is another false conception held by some. Once again if we look at the antics of a small minority and paint the majority with a broad brush, who is the one who is stupid? This is like looking at the Roman Catholic terrorists of Northern Ireland and come to the conclusion that Roman Catholicism teaches terror. Or look at the Irgun terrorist group that operated in Israel and arrive at the conclusion that all Jews are terrorists. Or look at the Basque terrorists of Spain and arrive that the conclusion that all Spanish people are terrorists, and on and on.
Someone here had said earlier that terrorism is a war tactic. That is correct, it is not a religion, or a culture, and it happens and has happened in all cultures and all religions. Israel used terrorism to oust the British out of Palestine, we used terror to oust the USSR out of Afghanistan, the Irish used terrorism to oust the British out of Northern Island, and on and on.
Terror is a war tactic that is used when the warring parties are grossly mis-matched in military strength. The weaker party has no other way to fight back and thus resorts to terror tactics. So lets look at who these terrorists are and how many are there? I had explained earlier how we had created the Taliban and Al Qaeda and trained them to defeat the USSR in Afghanistan. These were around 20 to 25,000 such fighters. Due to the misguided policies and knowledge deficit of Bush, he actually helped them recruit and grow in strength.
The terror movements today that claim to be Muslims are of two kinds. Hamas of Palestine and Hezbollah of Lebanon are both political movements at war with a party that is infinitely more powerful as a military. This conflict is about land. There are religious fanatics involved on either side. One fanatic is angry because the other has driven him out of his land and his home and destroyed his way of life. The other fanatic claims that somehow god promised him the other guy’s land and what he is doing is god’s command. Really? Throughout history, man has used god to do things that otherwise he would not be allowed to do. How is this different? What kind of god is this that says he loves all his children equally then asks one child to steal and kill the other? These movements have nothing to do with religion, and are the kind of terrorism that Israel had used against the British, when it was faced with a far superior party, militarily speaking. These movements are not a threat to America as such.
The Taliban and Al-qaeda movement started as a political movement to resist the USSR, but has turned fanatic now. One characteristic of a fanatic is that he is a paranoid. Just as our paranoids say that Muslim Terrorists are taking over America to change our way of life, they also believe that America is trying to take over their lands and trying to change their way of life. The paranoids then antagonize each other by such claims and verbal hostilities and their paranoia feeds on itself and grows unabated. One way a fanatic or a paranoid recruits moderates is by pointing to the website of the other fanatic, and saying “see I told you so”. Just as our paranoids cruise the internet searching for information or disinformation to reinforce their beliefs, so do they. I am sure some are reading this website right now, and saying “see I told you so”.
The numbers of terrorists involved in Taliban & Al-Qaeda are in the thousands, a far cry from the 1.5 billion Muslims. It is a small band of rag tag ignorant people who do not understand the religion they claim to belong to, and who are extremely paranoid. The Muslim countries where these guys operate, are in considerably more danger than us. The Muslims are trying to kill or co-opt these groups. Indonesia executed the guys who blue up the nightclub in Bali and we have not heard any such incidents since then. Pakistan and Afghanistan is battling it out with them as we speak. These very Muslim countries are taking the brunt of the fighting and have lost many more citizens that we have, or ever will.
Hopefully this above information and the information I have conveyed in my earlier posts have prepared us enough tolook at how we as a country and as individual citizens should go about helping to solve this problem? This post is also getting too long, so I will break at this time and I will address that question in my next posting.

President Obama didn’t know about this…he’s been too busy trying to save our country. Someone WAS pretty stupid re: the low flying plane….but it wasn’t our intelligent, poised, confident, and graceful president. If I could have the thought that President Obama was responsible for this, I’m afraid I would be the stupid one. (Check his approval ratings.)
Marshall- You are apocalyptic in this article. Upstanding men like yourself want to discuss values in a respectable society. Who has the courage anymore to uphold them? That’s what I say. “Anarchy has been loosed on the world,” to quote Yeats. The moral center has ceased to hold, and, as a consequence, you get all these horrible examples of extremism, which you have just eloquently enumerated. The judaeo-christian ethic is the right system to follow–honor and respect–not Islamic fundamentalism. That’ll be the day I do anything while screaming “Allah! Allah!” as my justification. I suupose what the U.S. government thinks about the missile defense system is that we now have enough destructive capablility if ever such a threat from Korea or Iran should come. Let’s hope not. See, we cannot be certain of anything. All these external threats impact us psychologically here in America, if not also materially, realistically. I firmly believe we need principled men like yourself to get the dialogue going in the direction of sane values and begin rebuilding from “ground zero” upward. You’re pointing at the right idealism!
