The House of Representatives is being labeled as a do-nothing congress. Congressional approval ratings are at an all-time low.  I guess they must be pretty bad.

Should we believe every item of propaganda thrown our way? The president – who has the advantage of being before cameras on a daily basis – continually rails against the congress for failing to do anything. He wants us all to follow his lead, and blame congress for his non-accomplishments. In fact, the people of congress are elected by constituencies that may, in fact, expect their representatives to represent them and their wishes to hold back spending, control borders, investigate corruption and take action against government out of control.

If you believe the president and his acolyte, Harry Reid, it would appear they are the good guys and congressional representatives are the bad guys. But if you dig a little deeper and actually investigate the truth, it paints a different picture.

What people don’t know is that any bill passed by the House of Representatives must be evaluated or modified and then voted on by the U.S. Senate before they can be given to the president to sign. That is, if the Senate Majority Leader allows.  Yes, that’s true.  Senator Harry Reid has the power to run America, at the behest of the president with whom they are in lock-step on most issues. Harry Reid runs the legislative agenda of America. Period. (to quote the president)

If Senator Reid doesn’t like the contents of a House bill, it will not see the light of day on the senate floor. There will be no vote. It’s a one-man blockade who has that power, no matter the will of the people who elected 435 congresspersons and one hundred senators.  One Man!

Consider this minor statistic: The so-called “do-nothing” congress is not so “do-nothing” after all. They have passed 352 bills, which still await action from the do-nothing Senate Majority Leader. That’s three-hundred, fifty two bills, 98 percent of which were passed in the house with bi-partisan support, but blocked in the senate. Fifty-five of those bills were actually introduced by democrats. Two-thirds of the bills were passed with 70 percent of the House votes….which includes scores of democrats.

In fact, congress is actually working together…until they hit a stone wall in the senate in the form of Senator Harry Reid. Meanwhile Reid and the president exploit the inaction by senate leadership as fodder, twisting facts to make the public believe it’s all the fault of the republican-led House. The general public, who listens to sound bites and never bothers to look further, buys into the propaganda.

If America is in a downward tailspin home and abroad, remember this: Our nation is being guided by four significant power brokers, two of whom are not elected. Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Eric Holder and Valerie Jarrett.  It’s all about political gain and power.

If you think the president, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi feel sympathy for the migrants from Central America, don’t be naïve. They are thinking ahead. This has been engineered by policies executed in this administration for one purpose: Future power. Lopsided power. Demographic manipulation in the form of mega thousands of immigrants will translate to registered democrats in future voting bases. It’s all on purpose. Ten years from now, these “children” will be voting in more Reids, Pelosis and Obamas…only in greater majority numbers.

We’re being duped. Our grandchildren will be paying the price for our ignorance.

Bi-partisan can mean one ( 1 ) member of a party voted out side of the party.

The “do-nothing” part of Congress is over in the Senate where Crazy Harry Reid holds the reins of power. Retire him, Ms Pelosi and, of course, the imposter-in-chief, and maybe we can get something done in this country.

The truth is almost always stranger than fiction. It would be difficult to write a screenplay as convoluted as the inner workings of Congress. If either the House or Senate gets one opposition party member to vote on a bill it will be called a bi-partisan bill. Also, the truth is that many, if not most members of Congress vote on lots of bills without having read them. They rely on staff members to brief them. I doubt if anyone in either part of Congress actually read the Affordable Care Act before voting on it. It’s all a sham! We really ought to throw out as many of them as we can, and I mean from both parties.

Embarrassing, but very true, and very non politically correct. Yes, I am disgusted with the senate but will be vilified by those that are unable to objectively observe the entire picture.

Yes, it is embarrassing, but only HALF true. Please check Politifact when you spread quotes that only fan the flames! Can’t we all just meet in the middle? Compromise is not a four-letter word.

Never in my life have I seen this country so fragmented in so many different arenas. And never have I witnessed so many ‘citizens’ of this country so uninformed/ignorant.

This president will surely go down in history as not only the worse we’ve ever had but also as the most damaging to this country and to the world. As Marshall has previously stated, it is unfortunate that our first black president had to be obama when there were and still are other black citizens who are qualified and who would have done a good job and been respected by all races.

Long Live Obama in some ones other land!!! Far Far Away when he retires as I so tired of hearing from him !!!

Let’s probe a bit deeper. We have a conservative congressional majority (GOP). The true conservatives profess to hate government controls.

So my question is: What are those 352 bills for? More government control? Tax breaks for us all? Answers to the problems of: social security; medicare; national infrastructure; corrections/modifications/improvements to Obamacare; budget and debt reduction; immigration; welfare reform; new name for the Washington Redskins??? What are the 352 bills for? Please tell me so I have more reason to fault Reid.

In all due respect, let’s expand our blame game to include all of Washington.

“Actions speak louder than words.” The actions of both parties, or should I say the inaction, have contributed to the issues this country is dealing with today.

I see a lack of courage, consideration and empathy for the American people, who are dismayed, disheartened and held captive by the behavior of our politician’s.

Ego’s rule in place of honesty and the best interest of the people. There is no objectivity or interest in the wellfare of our citizens. Politic’s is a game of mind, power and the pursuing of special interests, few of which benefit the voters and our peopel as a whole.

This country is controlled and run by the NRA and the lobbiests with a do nothing attitude and greed that tops the charts; crippled and held hostage by their own inaction.

We have the Republicans, who were determined, from the very start, to tear down this “black” President, for no other reason than he didn’t fit their small minded and ego based perceptions, of what makes a President. I’m convinced they will take the same route when Hilary Clinton becomes the first woman President.

One of the biggest problems the Republican Party has is JB. He is not a man of integrity or substance; his job seems to be fanning the flames of divisiviness.

The “House” is broken and must repair itself from the inside out! The “Senate” is broken and must do the same. I believe our people are tired of the dirty politics and lack of interest of our leaders to work together.

This country is in for much tougher times, unless we find some true “statesmen and women” that have the courage to step up, without fear of retaliation, to do the right thing for this country.

Please, will someone call the spirit of America back!

It’s a shame that so many minorities voted for the president because he Was black. Add to that the whites who were proud to eliminate black guilt. Did no one vet this man or ask about his policies before voting? He didn’t pass the smell test the first time around. Why ever did we give him a second chance? Now I know what hope and change mean: Hope for the best while we wait until2016.

The present day “main stream media” are part and parcel of the ignorance that infects so many with so much untruth.

Here’s an evaluation of the bills waiting for a Senate vote, as reported by Politi-Fact,which is produced by the liberal Tampa Bay Times. Expect some biased reporting.

Referenced article was a good read. Not clear that any of these 352 bills are drafted to solve any of our Nation’s big issues. So it’s easy to conclude that this has been a “do nothing” Congress. The Senate (Reid) is certainly the “gate-keeper” making certain that nothing of value passes through.

Must share a part of Fred Reed’s Article entitled: “Wiemar America”.

“City after city joins the ranks of the bankrupt, semiliterate, corrupt black Bantustans which by honest naming would be called Lower Third World. Their culture is utterly alien to that of Eurowhites. Across the open border to the south pour huge waves from the Latino slums, less alien to Eurowhites, less hostile, but nonetheless threatening to form yet another country within a country. The Third World proportion of America closes rapidly on a full third. Despite desperate attempts to impose multicultural harmony, experience shows that widely disparate peoples who do not like each other do not enjoy happy endings. My country ‘tis of three, sweet land of dystrophy….

America can no longer be called a democracy. The Constitution recedes in memory. Congress and the Supreme Court amount to nothing. Washington rests uneasily in the hands of a half-mad clique of geopolitical illiterates, warlike misfires playing dangerous games like little Kaiser Wilhelms in a sandbox. Presiding over the city is Septimius Severus, Bokassa III, a negligible pol from Chicago who doesn’t like whites or understand European norms of government. He will keep the borders open and civil liberties in retreat”
    Fred Reed.

A clip from an article in Newsmax online – please note what Nevada is with growth — Thanks to Harry — and they voted for him —- Florida will rebound as it always does- and has done better under Scott == Gee Wiz and Obama takes credit for the Oil in the Dakota Lands Hummmmm

nationwide. (The figures aren’t adjusted for inflation.)

North Dakota has boomed in large part because of a breakthrough drilling technique, known as hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking,” that has unlocked vast oil and gas reserves. The state’s per-person income soared 37.2 percent, before inflation, from 2009 through 2012, according to a separate report released this year. That’s by far the most for any state. North Dakota’s unemployment rate was a barely visible 2.7 percent in June, the lowest in the nation.

By contrast, spending eked out a scant 3.5 percent increase in Nevada, the weakest for any state and far below the 10.7 percent national average. Arizona’s 6.2 percent increase was next-weakest, followed by Hawaii’s, Florida’s and Utah’s.

In the last part of your blog — you mentioned that these immigrants will be voting Democratic … has anyone sat down with immigrants and actually discussed their views?

This week I had such an opportunity … the car dealership working on my car sent a car to pick me up. And the driver and I started making small talk. We talked about the construction in my neighborhood, he mentioned the planes in his neighborhood … as the conversation progressed he mentioned that he and his wife were studying for their citizenship — they were here on work permits which opened the door for questions!

“What does he think of the President giving amnesty to the illegal aliens that are crossing the borders?” I listened to a hard working member of the community explain to me that he and his wife worked through all the “obstacles” they were forced to face to have a “right” to work in this country and are extremely disappointed in people breaking the rules being given something they were forced to work years for. NO — they are not going to be voting Democratic; in fact the hard working hispanic community’s values do not align with the Democratic values. Giving amnesty will not be a giant Hispanic “thank you”.

I suspect that the only reason to give amnesty is to push the country into a Constitutional crisis that the spinners can point to the Republicans that have had enough.

Like everything else; attempts to get the last disaster off the front pages forces this administration to push into another direction that only results in a deeper disaster. Obama seems to be “bombing” which each attempt to gain a positive spin.

Politicians look to the next election -Statesmen look to the next Generation. The START is strict term limits. Eliminate the self serving fiefdoms these men and women create for themselves! Let Congress pass NO LAW that does not apply to themselves as well as the American Population they supposedly serve. Strict, Strict, Enforced, Practical total reform of Election Contribution Laws. All of this implemented NOW -not later, not in years to come. Now. I believe this could save our Country.
